Professional Video Recording Workshop
A 6-week, hands-on program in Allentown, PA—taught by two-time Emmy Award winner Isaías Alberto Reyes.
Learn how to shoot professional-looking video with confidence. This in-person workshop covers camera setup, cinematic composition, lighting fundamentals, white balance and color control, and real-world filming workflows. You’ll practice in studio by building a podcast set from scratch, then apply your skills outdoors—finishing with a final edited project you can use for your portfolio.
What you’ll learn
Camera settings & exposure: ISO, aperture, shutter speed, frame rate, 180° rule
Composition & storytelling: shot types, angles, framing, continuity
Cinematic movement: tripod/gimbal techniques for smooth footage
Lighting basics: natural vs artificial light, 3-point lighting, shaping shadows
White balance & color control: clean, consistent color in any location
Real-world practice: build a podcast set + outdoor filming (interviews & B-roll)
Workflow + delivery: intro to DaVinci Resolve, basic color correction, exports for social media
